ISHASHA JUNGLE LODGE: HOME OF LIONS
Ishasha Jungle resort is an eco-friendly resort that offers accommodation in cottages and mixed tents built on a raised wooden platform, with a grass thatched roof and an en suite bathroom fashioned with the characteristic local stones.
The Lodge is located on 30 acres of riverine forest along the River Ntungwe, surrounded by open acacia savannah where elephants and antelopes wander, and lions and leopards are frequent visitors. This is the ideal cool, peaceful hideaway for relaxing and resting following wildlife drives around the neighboring Ishasha Sector trails of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
It is located 2 kilometers from Katokye Gate in Queen Elizabeth National Park's Ishasha Sector, along the River Ntungwe, amid a stretch of riparian forest. The lodge itself is a natural experience, making it the ideal site for a photographic safari.
