Is Poka special?
Apoka is undoubtedly a part of Kidepo National Park. Elephants, giraffes, and zebras frequently pass by your room as they roam the savannah grasslands that spread for miles around. Kidepo is an exceedingly remote region of Uganda; thus, few tourists visit this magnificent part of the country. Those who take the road are rewarded numerous times over.

The views from Apoka are stunning, whether from the main living area, your individual veranda, or the outdoor stone bathtub. The savannah spreads for miles, only to be interrupted by the rise of mountains on the horizon.

Apoka is a beautiful lodge in a remote area of East Africa. It retains all of the amenities expected of a luxury lodge, the service is great, and the Kidepo Valley takes care of the rest.

Apoka features ten spacious rooms, each with two queen-size beds, a private en-suite bathroom, a private veranda, and a huge outdoor stone bathroom where you can relax and enjoy the views after a long day of sightseeing.

A huge center building houses a bar, dining room, and common lounge space, as well as a swimming pool (which is frequently used by thirsty antelope!). Needless to say, the views from here are spectacular.
