Budongo Eco Lodge, located in the heart of Budongo Central Forest Reserve and within the confines of Murchison Falls National Park, is one of Uganda's undiscovered gems. Budongo Forest is home to about 600 chimpanzees and 8 other monkey species, making it one of the country's largest chimp colonies. It is also home to uncommon woodland bird species, including the Puvel's Illadopses, which is unique to this area. Furthermore, Budongo Reserve is East Africa's largest remaining Mahogany forest, with trees that reach heights of 80 meters. With 115 kilometers of trails, this unknown area offers enough of excitement and adventure!

The Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourism property, which was previously administered by the Jane Goodall Institute, was taken over in August 2009 and renamed Budongo Eco Lodge by Uganda Lodges. We collaborated with the National Forest Authority (NFA) to develop this relatively unknown tourism spot while also protecting the forest reserve's unique species of primates, birds, and flora.

Budongo Eco Lodge features luxurious eco-cabins with private verandas, four large dorm rooms, a visitor center, and a restaurant. In addition, the resort provides a variety of activities in the immediate vicinity, such as chimp tracking, chimp habituation, forest walks, and bird viewing. The combination of excellent eco-tourism facilities, superb safari accommodation, and a wide range of forest activities provides a wonderful blend of relaxation and excitement, set against the unique backdrop of unadulterated African environment.
