Katara Lodge Kichwamba

Katara Lodge is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park, atop the Kichwamba escarpment, which was produced as a result of volcanic activity. The lodge's location provides a picturesque perspective of some of Uganda's most notable sights, including around 72 explosion craters, undulating hills, charming valleys, and wide savannahs.

The cottages feature beautifully thatched roofs and were meticulously erected on a row of undulating hills on the Rift Valley escarpment, affording a wonderful view of Uganda's breathtaking attractions, including Queen Elizabeth National Park, the wide savannahs, the Virunga, the Rwenzori Mountain ranges, and Lake Edward.

Katana Lodge's safari accommodation facilities includes eight deluxe cottages, seven standard cottages, and one family cottage. The ordinary cottages are tastefully furnished and include one large bedroom with a double bed and a four poster star bed that can be rolled out into the patio for those who want to sleep under the African starlit sky. Each cottage offers a spacious living space and an ensuite bathroom stocked with high-quality supplies.

The family cabin has two separate bedrooms and a combined sitting space. The master bedroom features a big master bed, while the other bedroom, which is ideal for youngsters, has two beds. The cottage features a large bathroom and a separate sitting space outside with a swing coach and two hammocks.

Katara Lodge's restaurant delivers a variety of delectable cuisines, including indigenous and continental foods, to satisfy the passionate safari traveler looking for a truly African experience on their vacation. Meals can be taken in the formal dining room or outside on the patio under the open sky.

The lodge's on-site bar serves a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Guests can have a drink anytime from anyplace, including the outdoor swimming pool, where they can stretch out beneath the mild sunshine while sipping on a cocktail or glass of wine.
