Bwana Tembo, located near to Murchison Falls National Park and only a kilometer from the banks of the breathtaking River Nile, exemplifies our deep connection to this enchanting nature.

The huge African elephant is still a common sight here, and nature's rhythm captures our attention day after day.

We are excited to welcome you to Bwana Tembo and embark on new adventures together in the untamed splendor of Murchison Falls National Park's mesmerising environs.

Bwana Tembo is located on the fringes of the small town of Pakwach in Uganda's extreme north-west, 397 kilometers from the capital, Kampala. This route takes around 6 hours to drive from Kampala, or you can take a scheduled 40-minute flight to Pakuba airfield, which is about a 50-minute drive from the camp. If you prefer to drive through Masindi, people with an adventurous spirit may opt to sail down the Nile on the ferry between Masindi and Pakwach.

An alternative flight plan would be to Arua, which is about 2 and a half hours away from Pakwach but provides an opportunity to enjoy some sightseeing on the route because wildlife is frequently seen on the road outside the national park.

As you travel over the smooth asphalt surface, keep an eye out for baboons that like to sit or play in the middle of the road. They occasionally bask lazily in the glistening sun, while other animals saunter magnificently over the road, claiming every inch of the immensity. In this region of the earth, animals have the right of passage.

Those driving through the national park to reach Bwana Tembo should be aware that there is a per-person park fee and a vehicle park fee that will be paid at the park gates.
