Jacana Safari Lodge, located in the lovely Queen Elizabeth National Park, is an extraordinary tree house Lodge made with generally indigenous resources such as volcanic rocks, gum poles, wood, and rope, and then furnished with phenomenal organic furnishings and rich textures.

GeoLodges owns and manages the rustic Lodge, which is located on the northern extremity of the green Maramagambo forest and overlooks the beautiful Lake Nyamasingiri, the country's largest volcanic crater lake. It is approximately one hour and twenty minutes from the City of Fort Portal and 35 miles from the Kasese Airport.

This stunning Safari Lodge consists of eight elegant Cabins, each with a private veranda with views of the Crater Lake and the distant Maramagambo bush. In addition, each of these cabins has a bathroom with running water, a rain shower, slippers and clean towels, separate flushing toilets, a wardrobe, a spacious sitting area to relax and reflect on the day's events, a writing desk, an in-room safe, a private balcony, and comfortable beds with mosquito nets.

Visitors to the magnificent Jacana Safari Lodge may relax in the big lounge room, which features soft-cushioned sofas arranged around a large fireplace. After a hard day of touring Queen Elizabeth National Park or the beautiful Maramagambo woodland, visitors usually cool off at the stunning swimming pool with views of the lake, and Jacana Safari Lodge includes sauna facilities.

The private Tembo Bar is located on the lower level and overlooks Crater Lake's breathtaking waters, providing the ideal relaxation for a cool evening with friends or coworkers. Guests can also enjoy a candlelit meal at the Fish Eagle Bar, which is located along the jetty near the edge of the water body. This Lodge also provides guest parking, laundry services, and a luggage storage area.
