Kalebas Camp Bunyonyi
This camp is located on the beaches of Bunyoro Lake, and it is smaller than many other accommodation facilities, providing peace and serenity in a natural and rural setting for very low pricing. Despite its rudimentary infrastructure, Kabebas is a terrific choice for low-budget travelers who value decent food, pleasant service, and fantastic peaceful settings.
The accommodations comprise four basic rooms with private flush toilets and bathrooms with hot water showers, as well as three permanent non-self-contained tents on wooden elevated platforms. This camp also offers a groomed lakefront area that serves as an excellent camp ground. The food is delicious, and it is cooked with some of the freshest veggies and lake fish.
The major activities include canoe cruises, nature walks, bird viewing, visits to the area's principal inhabitants, the bakiga and the batwa, as well as safaris to several islands. The other activities include island tours, laundry, village trips, and bird viewing.
This camp is located on the banks of Lake Bunyonyi, which means it is home to a large number of little birds. This mountain-ridged lake contains 29 islets and is surrounded by steep, heavily farmed, and terraced hillsides. It is also one of the few lakes in the region that are devoid of bilharzias and predators, making it ideal for swimming. This camp also provides true relaxation in a natural, rural setting. This campground is ideal for travelers who value decent, courteous service, a lovely site, a rural atmosphere, and reasonable value. This lodge also has four modest self-contained rooms with double beds and permanent tents situated on raised wooden platforms. There is also an elevated restaurant with good pizza from the wood-fired oven and other dishes served while overlooking the lake.
