Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

Clouds Mountain Lodge provides accommodations in private woodland cottages fashioned of native volcanic stone and reused materials gathered from the nearby community. The cottages include a large living area with a fireplace, comfortable sofas, and hand-woven carpets. Outdoor verandas with comfortable chairs offer stunning views of the forest below.

As darkness falls, the blazing fireplaces provide a comfortable atmosphere. The main lodge area includes high ceilings, pale canvas furnishings, and pale wooden beams, creating a sense of grandeur and space that compliments the lodge's prime location.

Children under the age of 15 are not permitted by UWA to trek mountain gorillas, but we offer a variety of activities at the lodge to keep them entertained while you begin on your gorilla trekking adventure with a professional babysitter.

In addition to an exhilarating encounter with mountain gorillas, you may learn about the people, culture, and villages of Bwindi by walking or hiking through the dark and misty woods. You can also take a canoe ride around Lake Mutanda's tranquil waters and rest on one of its gorgeous little islands.

After a hard day, unwind with a beverage on the world's highest ridge while taking in the cool and pleasant breeze. This evening is yours to enjoy.
