Bunyonyi Safaris Resort is a lakefront hotel that combines modern conveniences with the warmth of African hospitality, all set against the backdrop of Lake Bunyonyi's calm beauty. Lake Bunyonyi, which is home to approximately 40 bird species, gets its name from the variety of birds that inhabit the area. The resort's scene and setting are certainly a nature lover's heaven, with ample bird-watching chances in our botanical gardens and breathtaking aerial views of the island-spotted lake at our hilltop center. We are located approximately 420 kilometers from Kampala and 120 kilometers from Kigali in Rwanda, making us an ideal center for exploring the Gorilla Highlands and Kigezi Region. Gorilla hiking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park and mountain climbing at Mgahinga Volcanoes National Park.

We have plenty of parking, a variety of accommodation types, dining and lounge facilities, and are designed for large groups, making us a great venue for seminars and conferences, team-building retreats, wedding receptions and anniversaries, graduation and birthday parties, honeymoons, and family getaways. Our amenities and services include a well-equipped conference hall, WIFI, a hilltop sports and events arena, a waterfront dock, a gym, a steam and sauna room, a swimming pool, a fireplace lounge and bar, an onsite restaurant, and guided tours of the area by boat, hiking, or bike. All of our rooms feature a view of the lake, are spacious, and are self-contained. We offer 6 cottages, 2 suites, 2 dormitories, and 41 hotel rooms available for single, double, and triple occupancy. We have baby cribs and extra beds for youngsters, as well as dormitory and camping facilities for those on a budget. Accommodation can be rented as bed and breakfast, half board (two meals), or full board (all meals).
