Apple TV has unveiled their full official trailer for the movie Tenzing, an astonishing mountain climbing movie about the first summit of Mount Everest in 1953. It's also one of my favorite films of 2026 so far. It plays in theaters for one week starting in October I highly recommend watching it this way on the big screen – a thoroughly immersive experience. On May 29th, 1953, New Zealander Edmund Hillary & the Tibetan Sherpa Tenzing Norgay were the first to reach the top of the world's tallest mountain. Tenzing is the untold and inspiring tale of one of the most important mountain climbers in history who became the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Made by mountain filmmaker Jennifer Peedom (of docs Solo, Sherpa, Mountain, River) as her first narrative feature film after many docs actually filmed on the mountains in Nepal.
