Aaron Pierre is John Stewart in DC's 'Lanterns' Series Official Trailer

DC + HBO unveiled the full official trailer for their Green Lanterns spin-off series called Lanterns - ready for streaming this August. We finally get a good look at some real footage + finished VFX this time around and it's quite solid. This trailer is the best one yet, nice to see the final version. Lanterns follows new recruit John Stewart & Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based alien mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Featuring Kyle Chandler playing Hal Jordan, the fan fave Green Lantern, along with Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, the newcomer in the Lantern Corps. The cast includes Kelly Macdonald, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner (in Superman), Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Nicole Ari Parker, Jason Ritter, Sherman Augustus, and Paul Ben-Victor as villain Antaan. Green Lanterns are intergalactic peacekeepers with rings that give them powers. This story is about introducing Stewart as the newbie while the ol' Hal himself is in trouble with Sinestro - played by Ulrich Thomsen. And more teases like "What do you know about Manhunters?"
