Sipi River Lodge

Our work is guided by the overarching principle that for tourism to benefit everyone, it must be sustainable. Our workforce and local community are at the center of our decision-making, and as responsible stewards of our property, we strive to leave a minimal environmental footprint. Sipi River Lodge is located on the grounds of a beautiful renovated old estate.

It comprises of a main house and seven independent apartments for our guests, each distinctively constructed with a deliberate perspective on the backdrop of Kapsurur Falls. In this lovely environment, you may enjoy private fireside dining, a cozy reading lounge, an airy veranda, and a bar filled with beers, wines, and a good range of single malt whisky.

Sipi River Lodge, located in the foothills of Mount Elgon, offers a variety of bird species, exceptional Arabica coffee, and breathtaking sunsets. The lodge is also known for its three beautiful waterfalls. Join us for afternoon tea and cake after a magnificent waterfall hike, and recharge with our delicious homestyle meals that highlight local produce.
