Byoona Amagara Island Retreat.
This hideaway is nestled on a peninsula beside a sheltered cove in the heart of the picturesque and calm island-studded Lake Bunyonyi in southwest Uganda. This hideaway Island offers to both budget and independent travelers looking for relaxation, beautiful vistas, one-of-a-kind lodgings, and delicious meals at a reasonable price.
The accommodation facilities also include the Geo domes, which are famously crafted from various local materials. There are four Geo domes: Ebimoori, Emiizi, Omuti, and Eiguru, and they are privately and fully furnished with chairs, sofas, shelves, furniture, a sitting table, and a private balcony. The family cottage is the most luxury of the cottages, featuring two bedrooms and a sitting area, an independent solar system, cool tiled floors, and hot showers. The Amaizi Cabin, also known as the wood cabin, is the most private facility and has hot showers and a toilet. Dormitories are large enough and contain 12 beds with basic furnishings, while the small dorm has a four-bed room, a table, and chairs.
The facilities available here include the main hall or Lodge, which features a wide lounging deck, a pleasant lounge, and a canteen. This hall is located along the leading edge of Itambira Island, providing excellent lake vistas as you look across to Bwama Island.
