Ridley Scott's next movie – a post-apocalyptic thriller called
The Dog Stars, based on the
book by Peter Heller.
The Dog Stars is a survival sci-fi movie set to hit theaters in
late August at the end of the summer, arriving just before we get into the fall. This new trailer is
similar to the first one setting up the post-apocalyptic setting (filled with cannibals it seems like) and the 3 main characters. Sparse survivors in the aftermath of a catastrophic pandemic traverse a ravaged wasteland landscape to find the origin of a mysterious radio transmission - wanting more from their lives.
Jacob Elordi stars in it as Hig, a civilian pilot flying his Cessna around. With Brolin as a tough ex-marine. They face invaders and struggling of hoping for a better life outside of their current existence in a tiny enclave. Starring
