"Every empire fears rebellion." Whoa – where did this come from?! Lionsgate has revealed the first official trailer for a sci-fi action thriller titled
Karoshi, set in a near-future Manhattan. This looks badass! What a surprise!
Karoshi is hitting theaters in
February 2027 as an early-in-the-year genre offering from Lionsgate. An ambitious executive from a mysterious mega corporation faces pressure to fill a position after a worker leaps from the building. But as she interviews the new candidate, she realizes something amiss. Lionsgate presents an 87Eleven Entertainment and a True North production. Directed by
Takashi Doscher, starring
Teo Yoo,
Isabel May,
Takehiro Hira,
Bill Camp,
Show Kasamatsu, with
Giancarlo Esposito and
Cynthia Erivo. This is a very stylish action thriller about empire corporations and control and employees fighting back. I'm sold! Some awesome footage to enjoy – this is all I need to see right now and I'm so there. //
