Final Trailer for Netflix's 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' Grand Finale
"Beloved son, I count the days until your return." Netflix has revealed a final trailer for One Hundred Years of Solitude: Part Two, the second half & grand conclusion to this epic story from South America. This trailer is for THE Grand Finale episode wrapping up this epic story. In the timeless town of Macondo, 7 generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion and their past, their fate. The book by Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel García Márquez is the story of the Buendía family, tormented by madness, love, war, and fear of a curse that condemns them to solitude for a 100 years in this town. The series launched in 2024 on Netflix, with Part Two playing out this year in the final installment bringing the story to its close after two full years. Major moments shape the outcome of the Buendías' family saga: the inexorable passage of time over Macondo, the arrival of progress and consequences (via a banana farm & railroad), the tensions among the family's younger generations, and the town's transformation—the splendor ends in an inevitable decline until the curse that has doomed the family from its very origins is fulfilled. The cast inlcudes Julián Román (José Arcadio Segundo and Aureliano Segundo), Jorge Quintero (José Arcadio Segundo and young Aureliano Segundo), Claudio Cataño (Aureliano Buendía), Marleyda Soto (Úrsula Iguarán), María Adelaida Puerta (Amaranta Buendía). It looks like a wonderfully gorgeous finale. Who has been watching this sereis? // Continue Reading ›
