Uganda Museum

The Uganda Museum is East Africa's oldest national museum, having been accessible to the public since 1908. Its aim is to preserve and showcase Uganda's cultural and natural heritage, and it is overseen by the government's Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.

Its extensive and diverse collection of anthropological, archaeological, animal, and other natural artifacts is permanently or temporarily shown in numerous exhibition galleries. It also includes a network of regional museums and heritage sites throughout the country.

The Uganda Museum also has a cultural village with traditional houses from several areas and acts as a setting for regular cultural performances.
