Ngamba Island Lodges

Ngamba Eco-lodge offers a wonderful East African experience. Ngamba Eco-lodge, located just above the lake's edge and overlooking the gorgeous Lake Victoria, offers full amenities such as power, baths, hot water showers, and a private deck. Our hospitality crew has received international training at Disney resorts in Florida, and we will provide that same level of attention and care to your stay.

After an evening bonfire where we entertain you with Ugandan music and dancing, you will fall asleep to the sounds of water lapping and, sometimes, the chimps' lively pant hoots! Nothing quite captures the 'Out of Africa' experience of staying at the Ngamba Eco-lodge and waking up to the breathtaking splendor of island life. This island offers a unique experience of staying with the 49 resident chimpanzees, making it extremely wonderful.

You'll also be served freshly prepared meals by friendly camp staff in either our calm covered dining area or open eating area by the lake. Whenever feasible, we offer multi-course dinners as well as local specialties like fish. Hot beverages, such as tea and coffee, are always available on a self-service basis. Cold drinks, such as water, soda, and beer, are sold for cash. The cash bar offers a minimal variety of wines and spirits. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks.
