Crater Lake House

Crater Lake House is a big house with an open living and dining area in the center, which includes a pleasant fireplace. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kyaninga Crater Lake and the Mountains of the Moon.

This tranquil retreat is a 20-minute drive from Fort Portal.

The lake is clean and safe to swim in, and you may take scenic treks along the 4 kilometer rim or visit the Crater. A great getaway for families.

Breakfast is served for $10 per person. Grocery shopping costs $5.
Takeout services are also offered.

Other items to note:

Guests should be aware that this is a remote, off-grid area. As a result, water heating and energy are solar-powered and, while environmentally friendly, are limited to what the sun can produce.
The electric solar system is not designed to handle heavy loads; toasters, hair dryers, and other high-power appliances should not be utilized because they would cause power outages by the evening.
A solar system heats the water, thus showering in the evening is preferable to showering in the morning. Unfortunately, on gloomy days, the water will not become particularly hot.
If there is a lot of water use, Chris will pump up more water over the day, and guests may find the water is not hot as the solar system needs time to heat the water.
