General Machinery Limited (Gmach) was established in Uganda in March 1965 with the primary goal of improving agricultural mechanization through the provision of agricultural tractors, implements, and related after-sales services. The second job was to import and distribute construction machinery for both road construction and other site development.

The company began as a distributor of passenger cars, trucks, and buses and later expanded its activities to include water solutions, drilling, pump and piping installations, steel fabrication, machining, and galvanizing, marketing installations, supply and maintenance of diesel generators, motor vehicle sales and service, spare parts, car leasing and hire, fleet management solutions, earth moving equipment, investment, and financial services.

We are a fully integrated company organization situated in Kampala, Uganda.

All operations prioritize environmental protection, health, and safety in order to make a difference. The Group is made up of independent business entities led by individuals with appropriate management experience.
