Day 1.Arrival into Entebbe airport Arrival at Entebbe airport and you will be met by our experienced driver guide who will transfer you to a hotel in Entebbe. (Sleep at The Boma guest House or Protea Hotel) Day 2. Transfer to Kasese Rwenzori Mountains National park. After an early morning breakfast, a driver will be ready to transfer to Kasese, on the way stop over Fort portal for lunch. After lunch, you will have a short trip at one of the most amazing Amabere caves and simple hike to view the crater lakes in Fort portal which helps in acclimatization before you continue to Kasese. Sleep at Margherita Hotel or Sandton hotel. Day 3: Start hike from 1450m to Sleep at Sine Camp 2596m. Steady walk with a steep climb. Start at Trekkers at 1,450 meters and sleep at Sine Hut at 2,596 meters being a height gain of 1,146 meters Guides generally brief clients at the start of the trek or the night before. The trek starts at Trekkers Hostel in Kyanjuki, which is situated 1,450 meters above sea level and 12 kilometers from Kasese. It is best to start by 9 am but can leave as late as 11 am. You walk 2.2km to the UWA rangers post at 1,727 meters, which takes about one hour. Here you pay the gate entrance fee and the Rangers brief you on the rules of the Day 4: Hike to Mutinda Camp 3688m and summit Mutinda look out 3975m After a good breakfast, trekking starts at 8.30am and you soon enter the Bamboo-Mimulopsis Zone which is a steep climb with many high steps. In the wet season, the bamboo area is rather muddy and slippery making the going slow.
