Koi Koi is conveniently positioned to enjoy the many attractions in Toro, Western Uganda. We are close to Kibale National Park, which is famous for chimpanzee tracking, and Semuliki National Park, a bird watcher's paradise with over 400 bird species, hot springs, and the indigenous Batwa pygmy tribe. The Rwenzori mountain range, a world heritage site and a favorite among ramblers and hikers, is easily accessible. Toro's tea plantations, caverns, waterfalls, and gorgeous crater lakes are just breathtaking, and they are all within a short distance of Koi Koi. We are also on our way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's most popular wildlife park, and the Bwindi Forest, which is famous for its gorillas.
The King's Palace is also nearby, as Tooro is one of Uganda's few kingdoms. The pleasant climate and beautiful landscapes have drawn people from many different cultures over the years, and Koi Koi is the place to experience these cultures through cultural tours, cultural performances, museum and art exhibits, a craft shop, and gardens with many indigenous plants, including medicinal herbs.
Our amenities include a restaurant serving both local and western cuisine, an events hall and rooms for corporate events and family celebrations, opulent rooms in our round stone cottages with breathtaking views of the Rwenzori mountains, and a boutique and shops selling the latest designer clothes and souvenirs for family and friends. For individuals who want to stay up-to-date on current events during their stay, international television channels and an internet connection are provided.
Your stay at Koi Koi will help our community thrive since we work closely with Ensi, a non-profit organization that seeks sponsors to fund poor children's primary and secondary education in approximately 15 schools. We also use cultural tourism to help communities prosper economically. We hold an annual children's cultural festival, and the construction of a children's learning center at Koi Koi is nearing completion, with computers given by G.I.V.E., the Go.Innovate.Volunteer.Educate project.
