The famed Kyambura Gorge Lodge in Uganda is located on the brink of the magnificent Kyambura Gorge, which is a sunken rainforest and home to the 'Lost Chimps of Kyambura'. Built as part of the Kyambura Gorge Ecotourism project, the lodge was transformed from a coffee shop into a breathtakingly gorgeous location with panoramic views of the rolling savanna and distant Rwenzori Mountains.

The bandas have an afro-chic motif, with an emphasis on reimagined local objects, and offer stunning views of the savanna or the canyon. Relax and enjoy the spa and swimming pool, which offer lovely views of the park.

Begin your adventure into the valley by walking along the Fig Tree Trail from the resort, looking for the 'Lost Chimps of Kyambura', an isolated troop of chimps living in the steep-sided sunken gorge.

New walking safaris have been developed around the lodge to explore the stunning landscapes of Kyambura and Queen Elizabeth savannah. Go birding with our wildlife experts at the Kyambura recovered wetland and plant a seedling in the Kyambura Gorge buffer zone, which was established to protect the delicate Kyambura Gorge ecology.

Participate in a carnivore census with the Kyambura Lion Monitoring Team during your stay to learn about conservation challenges in and around the park. Take a magnificent wildlife boat ride on the Kazinga Channel and see some of the six hundred amazing bird species in Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is the most in an African park.

Stay at Kyambura as part of our 6-night Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari and enjoy a complimentary night valued at up to $1,650.
