Alliance Française de Kampala

Since 1954, the non-profit Alliance Française of Kampala has promoted linguistic and cultural exchanges between France and Kampala.

 Teaching French and advancing the arts and culture are its primary goals. We provide a consistent path that enables our students to achieve their career and personal goals.

By fostering cross-cultural communication, we assist our community—whether it be its members, artists, or students—in creating their future.

The AFK is situated in Kamwokya on Plot 52, Bukoto Street, near Acacia Mall, and in the center of a bustling neighborhood with many of stores, lodging facilities, dining options, and commercial establishments.

It features a 2021-created music venue and a 2021-launched café called Déjà Brew.

 Additionally, it belongs to a network of 126 Alliances Françaises in Africa only and has strong ties with the neighboring Alliances Françaises of Nairobi, Mombasa, Addis Ababa and Dar es Salaam.
